The Ruby Rogue here! Or you might know me as divingfalcons. Or Alana. I’ll take anything. I’m a 24 year old writer who likes to talk about lots of things, but mostly games. I live in an obscure-ish little town called Worthing in England. Oscar Wilde lived here for a bit, and Billy Idol went to college here, so we probably deserve a little bit more recognition, but I digress.
I was pretty much born with a controller in my hand, and I’ve been playing video games since before I started going to playgroup. When I was a kid I used to run around the playground and pretend I was in a Sonic the Hedgehog game. As sad as that might sound, I’ve been a lover of immersion in gaming form since my early days, and this has carried through to my later life.
My true love of the gaming world is RPGs, and I’ve been playing these since I was seven years old. Each new world and new story I come across fascinates me and gives me a chance to escape from reality for a good 30 or so hours, and I’m always welcome for a bit of escapism. I also review games at RPGFan, where I work with some of the most awesome people I’ve ever spoken to.
So outside of my geeky little bubble, my life is pretty average. I have a full time job, I like to read, long walks, beaches, sunsets…you know the drill. I started this blog back in 2017 and, regrettably I let it slip by the wayside. I really hope I can do some more with it in 2018, because it’s exactly what I need to beat the dark thoughts away.
I hope you’ll put up with my antics! Ruby Rogue – ATTAAAACK.
